The Importance of Personalized Learning
The Kintess School - Karine Pousset - The Importance of Personalized Learning
It’s important to understand that we personalize learning simply because every child is different. Even identical twins are different, they don’t learn the same way.
Imagine being asked to eat exactly the same thing, at the same speed, in the same way, in the same place, every single day.
There’s no flavor in that. You need to add some spice to the experience and to learning itself. Some children are more auditory, some are visual, and others are kinesthetic. Some children learn faster than others.
Some need more repetition.
Some need more hands-on activities.
Some need greater challenges to stretch their Zone of Proximal Development in unique ways.
That’s why we approach teaching concepts from different angles, depending on the child. But in the end, every child will acquire the skills and knowledge expected for their grade level and beyond.
Each student will also have the opportunity to develop their understanding and skills in both languages, allowing for stronger and more meaningful transfer between the two. From one language to the other.
