About Us

About us

Texas's IB Pioneer: Hands-On, Empowering Education.

The Kintess School is a private school dedicated to a bilingual (often multilingual) education. All our teachers are native speakers. We focus on project-based learning and hands-on experience. Children are encouraged to be independent thinkers, yet also learn to work collaboratively with others. Our teachers receive Yale University-based training for emotional intelligence. Teachers receive further training in neuroscience and plurilingualism due to a prestigious partnership with Sorbonne University. This constant training enables us to provide an education tailored to each student. This is furthered by our small class sizes. Due to the customized curriculum for each student, biological age does not limit what a child can learn.

About Kintess

kintess-word-tiles

Located in a tranquil setting in the Sugar Land/Richmond area, the Kintess School ensures students can connect with nature on a daily basis. Our scholars benefit from being in a calm and restorative environment. Besides recess, we often go outdoors as a natural extension to what’s being learned in the classroom.

At Kintess, we recognize that younger children have a superior ability to naturally learn a second language and it is our obligation to teach them. Besides becoming better speakers and more agile thinkers, research shows that bilingual students score higher on IQ tests and SATs. They excel in subjects unrelated to language, like math and science. And when kids learn a second language, acquisition of even more languages is just easier for them.

A bilingual education helps nurture emotional intelligence, social intelligence, and many other intelligences. This positively impacts children in processing emotions, having a wider worldview, being empathetic, developing personal relationships, and communicating well.

Our unique curriculum nurtures creative, open-minded, critical thinkers to become lifelong learners motivated to lead, contribute and thrive in an ever-changing world. This is key to nurturing each student to thrive well beyond the classroom.
