Position Overview
As a Teacher Assistant, you will play an integral role in creating a dynamic and inclusive classroom environment that supports the academic, emotional, and social development of our students. Partnering closely with lead teachers, you’ll help ensure that each child feels seen, heard, and valued as they embark on their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the diverse needs of students.
- Assist in managing classroom activities, ensuring a safe, organized, and supportive learning environment.
- Provide individualized support to students to foster their growth and understanding in key subject areas.
- Monitor and assess student progress, offering observations and feedback to the lead teacher.
- Encourage positive behavior and model effective communication to promote mutual respect and collaboration among students.
- Support students in their use of technology and classroom tools to enhance learning.
- Assist with classroom preparation, including organizing materials and maintaining a tidy, welcoming space.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about education and committed to excellence. The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a classroom or educational setting.
- Basic proficiency in using software applications for educational purposes.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with students, colleagues, and parents.
- A warm, approachable, and patient personality with a genuine desire to support children’s learning.
- U.S. work authorization and the ability to successfully complete required state and federal background checks.
